Add a weekly practice by hand

Add a practice that happens at the same time every week, for the whole season.

Before you start: add the team first, with someone who plays on it. If the team shows Player needed, tap Choose who plays. Add a team shows how.

Who can do this: an Editor, someone who can change the schedule, or the Owner, the one person in charge. A Viewer, someone who sees the schedule and changes only their own things, can't do this. The app tells them who to ask.

  1. Open the menu (☰) and tap Teams. On a tablet or computer, Teams is on the left.

  2. Under the team, tap Add to the schedule. Every week and Practice are already picked.

  3. Under Which days, tap each day it happens.

  4. Set the time it Starts and Ends.

  5. Set the First day and Last day of the season.

  6. Under Where, pick the venue: a rink, field, court or gym. For a new one, pick A new venue and type its name and address.

  7. Check the line above Save that sums it up. Then tap Save.

What you'll see

A new line under the team, with the days, time and place, and how many are still ahead. Every date is on your schedule too.

The Teams page: each league with its team, level and players, the weekly practices keyed in, and one-off events under Not weekly: the Fairhollow Fall Classic tournament and a Mudcats make-up game.

Good to know about a weekly practice

  • For a skills session, tap Skills instead of Practice.
  • If two or more of you play on the team, you also see Who's going. Everyone starts ticked. Untick anyone who won't go: they stay on the team.
  • Ends follows the team's usual practice length until you change it.
  • If you type a new place you already have, we say You already have it. Tap Use it.
  • Adding it here never uses a schedule read, which is one picture or PDF we read for you.
  • To change it, tap the pencil beside it on Teams.
  • Changing its days, first day or start time makes it a new practice. What you decided about its dates, like not going or who drives, is forgotten. The app warns you before you save.
  • Changing its end time, place or last day keeps what you decided.
  • Once its last date has passed, it leaves Teams. Its days stay on your schedule.

Tip: To miss one week, skip that date on your schedule: take it off everyone's day. Skip a game or practice shows how.
