Fix a day that doesn't work

Hand one event to another driver, or skip one, and we check the day again at once.

A day with a conflict can't be driven as planned: the drive doesn't fit, or two things overlap. We show you the single changes that fix it, and check the day again at once.

Who can do this: an Editor, someone who can change the schedule, or the Owner, the one person in charge. A Viewer, someone who sees the schedule and changes only their own things, doesn't see Fix it. The day's page says who to ask, right above its times.

You can hand over one event: give it to another adult to drive. Or you can skip one: take it off everyone's day.

  1. Tap Conflicts at the bottom, then tap the day. On a tablet or computer, it's on the left.

  2. Under the date, it says This day does not work and how many ways there are to fix it. Tap Fix it.

Saturday, October 17 on a phone, a Conflict. The line under the date says This day does not work, 4 ways to fix it: hand one over, or drop one, with Fix it.
A day that doesn’t work says so, with Fix it.
  3. If another adult can take one, it's under Hand one to someone. Tap Hand it over to let them drive it.

Wednesday, October 14, a Conflict, with its fixes open: Grandpa takes Eastside FC’s practice, which leaves no conflict with two cars on the road, or skip one of the two.
Only the hand-overs that fix the day are offered.
  4. To skip one instead, tap Skip this on its row.

  5. The line under the date now says Your plan for this day. The day is resolved: a day you fixed.

  6. To undo it, tap Undo — go to everything. If you don't see it, tap Change first.

What you'll see

Every fix with a button says No conflict left. We offer a hand-over only when it clears the day. Skips that wouldn't help are listed last, with no button.

Saturday, October 17, a Conflict, with its fixes open: Grandpa takes Ava’s hockey game or Maya’s soccer game, either leaving no conflict with two cars on the road, or drop one of the two.
Fix it lists the ways to make the day work.

When one change isn't enough

Sometimes no single change clears the day. Then the line under the date says No single change fixes it. You may need to skip more than one, or invite another adult who can drive.

A second car can't help when one person plays in both. Two cars can be in two places at once, but a person can't.
